Prestige Rider Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn returns to Sydney in 2014

Australia is looking forward to welcoming Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn back to Sydney in 2014 to again officiate as the guest riding judge at the NSW Young Dressage Horse Championships, which is held in conjunction with the Sydney CDI.

Anna-Sophie was born into equestrian family, her mother rode dressage horses and her father rode showjumpers, so she began riding in both disciplines and says, “I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t riding horses.”

After making the decision to pursue a career with horses, Anna-Sophie did her Bereiter training with German Team rider Jürgen Koschel and was awarded the Stensbeck Plaque at her final exams.  She acknowledges the input of such greats as Hans Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen and her current trainer Heike Kemmer.

Anna WinsAnna-Sophie has amassed many wins and places in the most prestigious Young Horse Championships in the world, and with Callaho’s Benicio (pictured right) she added the 2011 Bundeschampionat to her CV.

The talented young German works closely with the Hanoverian Verband and has gained much experience as an “Auction” rider.  She was the guest riding judge at the NSW Young Horse Championships in 2011 and 2013 and the announcement of her return in 2014 has been enthusiastically received.

Anna-Sophie has earned great acclaim as a rider and trainer and now runs her own training yard in Bartelsdorf Germany where she specialises in young horses and also has a few more established horses up to Grand Prix level.  Success at Young Horse events has driven Anna-Sophie’s passion for the early stages of training and she says, “I love to take a horse from unbroken to seven years of age, the time when they are first learning all the movements and exercises”.

Anna-Sophie with Prestige SaddleAnna-Sophie is supported by Prestige Saddles (Italia) and like many of the world’s leading riders in all Olympic disciplines, she has chosen this highly respected brand to ensure that she is able perform at her best.
