Saddleworld 2014 Brisbane CDI - Final Wrap Up!

At the completion of the final classes, the event has been deemed a resounding success and the Media Manager, Katherine Plomer,  filed this report.

That’s it for another year! The Saddleworld 2014 Brisbane CDI has been bigger and better than ever. The Saturday night entertainment featuring the Freestyles and the Bareback Show Jumping drew in the biggest crowd at the event to date.
 
Amanda Revelwood DestinyThe sun shone brightly on the final day of the Saddleworld 2014 Brisbane CDI. The first class was the horses-store.com Advanced Freestyle. This class was taken out by Amanda Shoobridge and Revelwood Destiny.

MI Sirtainly SirThe Young Horse Showcase features the top three performing horses from the Moreton Bay Regional Council Young Horse 4YO Round 2, Moreton Bay Regional Council Young Horse 5YO Round 2 and the CSG Young Horse 6 YO Round 2. The showcase drew quite a crowd as the judges commented on what they looked for in a young horse and what level they expected them to be ridden at. The judges also stated that the young horses all had promising futures ahead of them. The Sharon Doe Memorial class was the final class of the day and was open to riders under 25 years of age, and is judged on the rider not the horse. The winner of this class was young Elke Gutsche from Queensland.
