Eurohunter – Smart and functional at WEG

Eurohunter

The entire international equestrian community has been caught up with the FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy France.

The French preparations have been in progress since the Kentucky event back in 2010. Enthusiasts have again come together to acknowledge the achievements of their country’s equestrian stars … and to celebrate the winners and record makers who have competed and excelled in their chose equestrian discipline.

The World Equestrian Games are held between the Olympic cycles and showcase 8 horse sports - Dressage, Jumping, Eventing, Vaulting, Driving, Reining, Para-Equestrian Dressage and Endurance.   Normandy will see the inclusion of Polo and Horse-ball as demonstration sports, with the possibility of these fast growing activities, being part of the official program in the future.

Fans have been educated and inspired by outstanding riding and training of the brilliant horses – the definite stars of the show.   New World Champions will reign for the coming 4 years and play an important role in the development of equestrian sport by raising awareness for modern training techniques, changes in equestrian equipment and advancements in horse care.

Australia has representatives in all 8 sports and a great deal organisation, personal commitment and financial assistance has gone into preparing the horses, riders and their support teams in readiness for the Games.

Getting horses, riders, grooms and officials to the other side of the world is a huge undertaking and those involved have been quick to acknowledge the importance of the generosity and support of many Australian fans and businesses.

Saddleworld were proud to be part of the Australian 2014 WEG experience by supplying the beautiful and functional Eurohunter halters for all of the horses.
